IITE Maritime Academy prepares to start a new batch of Niyami Course 2

IITE Maritime Academy is preparing to conduct an additional batch of the Niyami Certificate-2 course in Male' City.

The IITE Maritime Academy stated that classes for the course are scheduled to begin tomorrow, and interested parties can still register by calling 7921961.

The academy noted that anyone who can speak Dhivehi and English, knows basic mathematics, and can understand the course materials can participate in the course.

This course, which paves the way to obtain the license required to captain Category C, B, and D vessels, is conducted over a duration of 30 hours. Approved by the Maldives Transport and Civil Aviation, this course will teach maritime regulations, communication equipment, navigation, safety, communication, and general information regarding vessels.

IITE Maritime Academy is the longest-running academy conducting maritime courses in the Maldives. The academy has successfully conducted 592 batches of the Niyami Course-2 in Male' and the atolls so far.

The courses commonly conducted by IITE Maritime Academy include the Niyami Certificate-2, Niyami Certificate-1 course, crew course, and marine mechanic course. Various batches of these are conducted every year in Male' and the atolls.
