The opportunity to submit proposals to lease land from the HA. Ihavandhoo industrial zone for fisheries-related work has been reopened.
The Ihavandhoo Council stated that the announcement made on the 2nd of this month to lease land from the industrial zone in accordance with the island's land use plan has been cancelled, and the opportunity to submit proposals for the land has been reopened. The council noted that companies, partnerships, local investments, and individuals with business permits can submit proposals.
It has been decided to lease four plots of 3,000 square feet from the island's industrial zone for a period of 20 years for fish cooking and fisheries-related work. Parties interested in leasing the land must propose a rent of no less than one Rufiyaa per square foot.
Parties interested in leasing the land must register to submit a proposal. Interested parties can get the opportunity to submit a proposal by filling out the online form. The council stated that parties who do not submit the form will not be given the opportunity to submit a proposal. Registration will be open until 23:59 on 24 February.
The submission of proposals for these plots will take place at 11:00 on Tuesday, 3 March 2026, at the Ihavandhoo Council office.
