A module has been launched to check the amount of ice available at ice plants through an online system.
This module was launched at the special ceremony currently underway in R. Dhuvaafaru to mark the 45th Fishermen's Day.
Ice availability at ice plants can now be checked via the Keyolhu app
The module was inaugurated by the Minister of Homeland Security and Technology, Ali Ihusan.
Through this feature included in the Keyolhu application, information on the regions and islands where ice-selling plants are located in the Maldives will be available. It will also show the amount of ice produced at these plants and the amount available for fishing vessels.
Establishing a system to check ice availability at ice plants is a pledge made to fishermen by President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu.
