The Huraa Council has decided to lease a plot of land for the purpose of boiling fish and making rihaakuru.
The Huraa Council stated that it has decided to lease one 750-square-foot plot of land located west of the island's mangrove and north of the river for a period of 2 years. The council also decided to grant a 30-day grace period.
The Huraa Council today opened the opportunity for interested parties to submit bids to lease the land. The bid form to apply for this land will be available from the reception of the Huraa Council Office from 09:00 on Wednesday, 30 April 2025, to 12:00 on Monday, 12 May 2025, and the price of a bid form is MVR 100, the council said.
Estimates must be submitted to the council office by 13:00 on 13 May 2025. The council stated that the proposed land rent must not be less than one rufiyaa per square foot per month, at a flat rate for every month during the 2-year period.
