Guraidhoo to Lease Land for Fish Boiling and Salted Fish Processing

The Th. Guraidhoo Island Council has decided to lease land on a long-term basis to parties interested in fish boiling and salted fish processing.

The council has decided to lease two plots of land from the area designated for fish boiling and salted fish processing on the island for a period of 10 years. Each of these plots measures 3,873.03 square feet. The council has decided to lease the land through a bidding process. The Guraidhoo Council stated that the minimum bid for the land price is 15 laari per square foot per month. The council also stated that the winning bidders will have to pay rent three months after taking over the land.

The council today opened the opportunity for interested parties to submit bids to lease the land. The council said an information session for bidders will be held at 10:00 am next Tuesday at the council office's meeting hall. In that session, important points regarding the bid will be shared and bidders' questions will be answered. Any questions regarding the bid can be emailed to procurement@thaaguraidhoo.gov.mv before 14:00 on the 29th of this month.

Bid submission and opening will be held at 10:00 am on May 4 at the council office's meeting hall, and bids submitted after the deadline will not be accepted, the council said.
