Government Authorities Will Give Special Attention to Search for Missing Persons from Capsized Landing Craft: President

President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu has assured that government authorities will give special attention to doing everything possible to find the missing persons from the landing craft that capsized last night.

In a message shared on social media today, he stated that he heard the news of the tragic incident of a landing craft capsizing last night, and the discovery of one deceased passenger, with deep sorrow.

"I pray for Allah's mercy and forgiveness for the deceased, and pray for patience for the family. I pray that the 2 people noted as missing so far in this incident are found in good health. Also, I pray for a quick recovery and return to normalcy for the health and psychological difficulties faced by those rescued so far. I also wish patience for the families of all these crew members," the President said.

In the President's message, he assured that all possible care and assistance will be given to all crew members who traveled on the landing craft, and assured that government authorities will give special attention to doing everything possible to find the missing persons. Furthermore, he advised seafarers to respond to the appeals of relevant authorities during bad weather conditions, and to ensure travel safety in all ways.
