Gaafu Dhaalu Atoll Council to conduct Niyami Course in collaboration with Centre for Maritime Studies

The Gaafu Dhaalu Atoll Council has decided to conduct a Niyami Certificate-2 course in collaboration with the Maldives National University's Centre for Maritime Studies.

The council has decided to conduct this course from October 9 to 13 under the name 'Niyami Certificate-2 Course 2025', and the opportunity to participate in this course was opened yesterday.

The Gaafu Dhaalu Atoll Council stated that the opportunity to participate in this 30-hour course is open to 25 individuals, and the council has decided to pay half of the course fee for the participants. Therefore, the council stated that participants will have to pay MVR 1,200 as the course fee and MVR 100 to purchase a copy chart.

The council has requested interested individuals to email the application form and other documents to the Gaafu Dhaalu Atoll Council's email info@gaafudhaalu.gov.mv before 14:00 on September 28, 2025.

Anyone who knows how to read and write in Dhivehi and knows how to add, subtract, multiply, and divide can apply for the course. The council stated that if an individual under 18 years of age wishes to participate in the course, a letter of no objection from their guardian must be submitted.
