The policy for providing electricity to vessels, companies, and the general public from the AA. Himandhoo harbour area has been amended.
Among the main changes brought to the policy is the provision of temporary electricity as a free service, without any fees, for urgent tasks required by vessels and the general public. Additionally, it has been decided that temporary electricity will be provided to industrial workers and companies at a rate of 100 Rufiyaa for each day electricity is used.
In relation to these changes, the Council stated that parties requiring temporary electricity from the harbour area are requested to complete the service request form and submit it to the Council office. Furthermore, parties currently using electricity have been requested to obtain the service by completing the application form before 14:00 on 15 January 2026. The Council stated that electricity will be disconnected if it is used without obtaining written permission from the Council office.
The Council said that the service request form will be available from the Council office during official hours. The Council also stated that the form has been attached with the announcement issued by the Council to publicly notify this matter.
