Five ambergris found on the reef side of Kolamaafushi

Five ambergris have been found in GA. Kolamaafushi.

According to the island council, three people from the island found an ambergris weighing approximately two kilograms and two weighing one and a half kilograms on the reef side. The exact weight of the two smaller ambergris is not yet clear. Media reports indicate they are three small ambergris.

A statement from the three people who found the ambergris has not yet been obtained. However, the island council has stated that efforts are underway to verify whether the found items are authentic ambergris.

Some individuals from the island have said that the ambergris found in Kolamaafushi is white ambergris, which is the most expensive type. However, neither the finders nor the council have confirmed this yet.
