The Maldives National Defence Force (MNDF) has stated that the fishing vessel reported missing yesterday while out fishing has safely returned to the island.
The vessel reported missing yesterday was the "Viluroadhi", a fishing dhoni belonging to the people of Th. Vilufushi. The MNDF Coast Guard received the report yesterday after the vessel, which had gone fishing with seven people on board, could not be contacted.
MNDF stated today that contact was established with the crew on the vessel late last night. The MNDF Coast Guard also received information that the vessel safely entered Th. Vilufushi around 02:00 am.
