The Fisheries Ministry has arranged for fishing license applications to be submitted through the 'Keyolhu' web portal.
The arrangement to submit fishing license applications via the 'Keyolhu' web portal was made as part of the ministry's efforts to digitize its services. Accordingly, starting today, new fishing license application forms will be accepted via the 'Keyolhu' web portal, and forms for renewing fishing licenses will also be accepted via the 'Keyolhu' web portal starting from 23 November, the ministry stated. Furthermore, forms applying for shark fishing licenses will also be accepted through this portal, the ministry said.
If applying for a license as an individual, the 'Keyolhu' portal can be logged into using their eFaas account. And, if applying for a license as a business company or sole proprietorship, they can log in after registering on the portal as an organization, the ministry stated.
A guide on how to apply for a new license and how to submit for a license renewal through this portal can be viewed on the Fisheries Ministry's website. If further information is required regarding this, the ministry requests to call the ministry's numbers 3339270 or 3339272.
The 'Keyolhu' portal is a resource already being used by the ministry to apply for licenses to produce fish and fish products, to regularly send details of fish purchased by companies to the ministry, and to issue catch certificates required for exporting fish.
