"Fishermen's Forum" Concludes Successfully

The "Fishermen's Forum", held as part of the Fishermen's Day activities, has successfully concluded.

Held on the 10th and 11th of this month under the name "Masveringe Gunzaru" (Fishermen's Forum), the event saw the participation of 47 fishermen from 9 atolls and 4 fish processing companies.

The forum provided various information related to the industry to fishermen and those active in the fishing industry, and held discussions on ways to resolve the difficulties faced in the sector. Discussions were also held on developing and advancing the fishing industry.

Following the conclusion of the forum, certificates were awarded to the participants by Fisheries Minister Ahmed Shiyam and MIFCO CEO Brigadier General (Retired) Farhath Shaheer. Sessions at the Fishermen's Forum were conducted by MNDF Coast Guard, MFORMPC, MSPEA, and BML.
