Fisheries Minister Ahmed Shiyam has been scheduled to be summoned to tomorrow's parliamentary sitting.
The Minister is being summoned to Parliament to answer questions submitted by Maradhoo constituency MDP MP Ahmed Didi regarding the Addu City Fisheries Complex.
MP Ahmed Didi submitted the request to summon the Minister to Parliament on August 24. This is the third time the questioning regarding the Addu City Fisheries Complex has been scheduled on the parliamentary agenda. Previously, the Minister was scheduled to be summoned on the 14th and 28th of this month. On both days, the session had to be removed from the agenda because the Minister was unable to attend.
In the question submitted to the Minister, MP Ahmed Didi requested clarification on the start date for the work to expand the capacity of the Addu City Fisheries Complex, noting that it is a pledge of this government and something the fishermen desperately need.
