Fisheries College opens applications for 2 fisheries-related courses

The Fisheries College, operating under the Maldives National University (MNU), has opened applications for courses scheduled to begin next semester.

Two courses at National Certificate Level 1 and Level 2 have been opened for the August intake.

The first course is a National Certificate Level 2 course. Named "Sports Fishing Guiding", the duration of this course is 6 months. Classes for this course will be held at the MNU campuses in Thinadhoo and Kulhudhuffushi City.

The second course is a National Certificate Level 1 course named "Fish Processing and Quality Control". The duration of this course is also 6 months. Classes for this course will be held at the MNU Male' campus.

While the opportunity to participate in these courses is now open, the deadline for applications is 14:00 on August 5th.

Established as a centre to provide fisheries-related education, the Fisheries College commenced its classes in August last year. Established with the aim of producing knowledgeable, technical, and skilled youth for the Maldivian fisheries sector, this college was created under the policies of President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu's government to modernize the fisheries industry.
