A fish feed plant has been established in HDh. Kumundhoo with the assistance of the Bank of Maldives (BML) Small Grant Fund.
Established under the name "Aqua Feed", this plant was set up in HDh. Kumundhoo with the financial assistance of the Small Grant Fund introduced by the bank in 2022 in conjunction with BML's 40th anniversary. The plant was established by the Kumundhoo Revival Initiative (KUREVI) using the financial assistance provided to NGOs under this fund.
According to BML, this plant will pave the way for managing the daily fish waste in HDh. Kumundhoo by utilizing the discarded parts after cutting fish to produce fish feed.
With the assistance of the Small Grant Fund, the project carried out to protect the reef of the Blue Bowls surfing area near GDh. Vaadhoo has also been completed now. That project was carried out by the Huvadhoo Association for Tourism (HAT) in GDh. Vaadhoo.
Under the Small Grant Fund, 250,000 Rufiyaa is issued to civil society organizations to carry out such projects.
