A fire has broken out on an oil tanker in Hulhumale' lagoon.
The Maldives National Defence Force (MNDF) stated that upon receiving information about the fire on the oil tanker named "Hawks Rodhi" around 13:00 today, a team of firefighters from the MNDF Fire and Rescue Service was dispatched to the area and is actively working to extinguish the blaze.
MNDF also reported that a foreigner sustained burns to their hands and feet in the fire incident on the 40-foot vessel. The MNDF Male' Area Command, Coast Guard Second Squadron's Harbour Patrol launch assisted in transporting the injured individual to Hulhumale' Hospital for further treatment.
