This fishing tournament, originally scheduled for Eid day, is organized by the island's civil society organization, Faresmaathodaa Youth Sports Club.
Faresmaathodaa Youth Sports Club decided to postpone the fishing tournament during a meeting held yesterday with the club members and the participating teams. The club stated that a new date for the tournament will be announced as soon as the global situation normalizes.
Although it was previously announced that the first-place team would receive 5,000 Rufiyaa and the person catching the biggest fish would receive a 500 Rufiyaa prize, the club also stated that there will be major changes to the prizes when the new date is announced.
