Engineers working to resolve the issue at Thinadhoo ice plant: MIFCO

Maldives Industrial Fisheries Company (MIFCO), which operates the facility, has stated that engineers are working to resolve the issue faced by the GDh. Thinadhoo ice plant.

Regarding the halt in operations at the Thinadhoo ice plant and the suspension of ice issuance to fishermen, MIFCO said that the company's engineers are currently active at the site and have identified the problem.

"There is a condenser issue at the Thinadhoo ice plant as well. Engineers are working there too," MIFCO said.

With the Thinadhoo ice plant's operations halted, Thinadhoo fishing vessels are currently getting ice from the Faresmaathodaa ice plant. This is a very costly journey in every respect.
