The Male' City Council has announced that the distribution of canned fish cases, gifted by the government to every household for the upcoming month of Ramadan, will begin tomorrow for households in the Male' area.
The City Council stated that starting tomorrow until the 28th of this month, excluding Fridays, canned fish cases will be distributed every day from 14:30 to 18:00 and from 20:30 to 23:00. The Council also mentioned that the cases will be distributed at specially designated areas.

Individuals collecting the canned fish for their households must bring a document showing the electricity meter number from one of the last 3 months' electricity bills, along with their ID card. The Council stated that the canned fish cases will only be issued to Maldivians.
President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu announced the government's decision to provide a case of canned fish to every household at the government's expense for the upcoming Ramadan during the ceremony held to mark the government's one-year anniversary. In accordance with this decision, households will receive a case of MIFCO's Fasmeeru brand 180g canned tuna in oil.
Last Ramadan, the government gifted a sack of rice and flour to every household, in addition to providing discounts on water and electricity bills. The President has previously stated that discounts on electricity and water bills will be provided this year as well.
