Discussions held on providing training for diamondback squid fishing in Fuvahmulah

Discussions have been held to conduct a training program for individuals interested in diamondback squid fishing in Fuvahmulah City.

The discussions regarding this training were held during a meeting between Fisheries Minister Ahmed Shiyam and the Mayor of Fuvahmulah City, Ismail Rafeeq.

The Fisheries Ministry stated that during this meeting, the two officials mainly discussed conducting fisheries training programs in Fuvahmulah City. In this regard, they discussed conducting a training program for those interested in diamondback squid fishing in Fuvahmulah City, and both officials noted the importance of such programs for the development of the fisheries sector, the Ministry said.

During the meeting between Minister Shiyam and Mayor Rafeeq, discussions were also held regarding the replacement of Fish Aggregating Devices (FADs) that have been lost from the Fuvahmulah area, and providing assistance to those active in the sports fishing sector in the city, the Fisheries Ministry said.
