Discussions held on opportunities to advance the fisheries industry in Vilufushi!

Discussions have been held on what can be done to further develop the fisheries industry in Th. Vilufushi.

The Ministry's State Ministers Mohamed Muththalib and Aminath Hussain Shareef, along with other senior officials, participated in this consultative meeting held by the Fisheries Ministry with the Vilufushi Council.

In this meeting, attended by the President of the Vilufushi Council and senior council officials, discussions were held on expediting the work on the sports fishing FAD, which is highly desired by the youth of Vilufushi. Furthermore, the Fisheries Ministry stated that broad discussions were held on the work that can be done in Vilufushi to further advance the fisheries industry and the opportunities available in the fisheries sector.

During this meeting, Vilufushi Council members shared the difficulties currently faced by the island's fishermen and discussed with the Ministry's senior officials to bring a quick solution to these issues.
