Discussions have been held with the Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO), a Japanese government agency, regarding the expansion of Maldives Industrial Fisheries Company (MIFCO) business in the Japanese market.
During MIFCO's ongoing visit to Tokyo, Japan, the meeting held yesterday at JETRO's headquarters in Tokyo mainly focused on expanding MIFCO's business opportunities in the Japanese market and how JETRO can provide assistance in this regard, according to MIFCO.
Although MIFCO did not disclose much detail about the meeting, the company stated that this is part of the ongoing efforts to expand opportunities for MIFCO's products in important global markets and to expand the company's business.
The meeting was attended by MIFCO's Strategic Consultant Athif Shakoor, General Manager of Corporate Affairs Aminath Saniyya Shareef, as well as the Deputy Ambassador in charge of the Maldivian Embassy in Japan, Ahmed Adil, and the Embassy's Second Secretary Hawwa Samha.
