Dhidhdhoo harbour development project nears completion!

The Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC), the contractor for the project, has stated that the HA. Dhidhdhoo harbour expansion and jetty construction project is nearing completion.

MTCC stated that under the project, the dredging of the harbour and the construction of the harbour pavement have been completed, and the installation of mooring buoys and harbour lights in the area is currently underway. The company also stated that 91% of the overall project has been completed.

The project involves dredging a 78,000 cubic metre area of the harbour basin, constructing a 616-metre breakwater, and installing a 185-metre revetment. It also includes the construction of a 326-metre quay wall, a 4,320 square metre harbour pavement, and the installation of harbour lights.

The project was awarded to MTCC in February 2021. The value of the project awarded to MTCC is MVR 69.8 million.
