Deadline Issued to Remove Vessels Beached in Non-Designated Areas of Vaikaradhoo

The HDh. Vaikaradhoo Island Council has issued a deadline to remove vessels beached in areas outside the island's designated boat beaching zone.

In a public announcement issued by the Vaikaradhoo Council office, it was noted that vessels are being beached for repairs and other purposes in public spaces outside the designated area, particularly along the shores where children and the elderly go swimming.

Stating that conducting vessel repair work in these areas poses a high risk of causing various health issues for those who swim and relax there, the council yesterday granted a 15-day deadline to remove such vessels.

The council added that if the vessels are not removed within the given timeframe, the matter will be reported to the police for further action.
