The contract to construct a jetty at the K. Thulusdhoo harbour has been awarded to a contractor.
The Thulusdhoo Council stated that the work for the planned jetty at the island's harbour has been contracted to a party, and preparations are currently underway to begin the work.
To commence the project, the Thulusdhoo Council has now ordered the removal of speedboats from certain areas of the harbour. Accordingly, the council has publicly announced that speedboats moored in the area from the designated landing craft cargo unloading zone northwards to the outer seawall must be removed before next Thursday.
The Thulusdhoo harbour was built under IDB loan assistance and officially opened for use in 2018. It is a harbour measuring 800 feet in length and 300 feet in width.
