The Maldives Police Service and Kulhudhuffushi City Council have signed an agreement to install CCTV cameras at the Kulhudhuffushi City harbour.
At a ceremony held yesterday at the Kulhudhuffushi City Council to sign the agreement, Upper North Police Commander, Chief Superintendent of Police Ibrahim Zuhuree signed on behalf of the Maldives Police Service. Kulhudhuffushi City Mayor Ahmed Athif signed on behalf of the Kulhudhuffushi City Council.
Police stated that under the agreement made with UNODC, cameras will be installed in various parts of Kulhudhuffushi City in phases. In this regard, cameras will be installed in the first phase at the Bodu Mohamed Kaleyfaanu Harbour in Kulhudhuffushi City, police said.
With the assistance of the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC), the control and server for these cameras will be established at the Kulhudhuffushi City Police, police also stated.
