Canned Tuna Cases to be Distributed Only at Night Starting Today

The Minister of Cities, Local Government and Public Works, Adam Shareef Umar, has announced that the canned tuna cases distributed by the government to households as a Ramadan gift will be distributed in the Greater Male' region only during the night starting today.

Minister Adam Shareef stated that although it was previously planned to distribute the canned tuna cases during the daytime as well, due to the current hot weather, starting today, the canned tuna cases will be distributed every day from 8:00 PM to 12:00 AM.

To arrange for the public to receive the canned tuna cases easily and conveniently, the number of distribution centers has been increased, and it has now been decided that each center will issue a specific number of queue numbers. Accordingly, 13 centers have been established in the Greater Male' region to distribute the canned tuna cases.

The distribution of canned tuna as a Ramadan gift to the Greater Male' region began last Thursday. On that day alone, canned tuna cases were issued to 9,394 households. Minister Adam Shareef Umar stated that the ministry will continue the distribution of canned tuna cases until all households have received them. Individuals going to collect the canned tuna cases must bring their ID card and a one-month electricity bill. Additionally, arrangements have been made so that one person can collect canned tuna for up to 3 households at once.
