Boat owners urged to be cautious as Muli harbor dredging begins tomorrow

Muli Council has requested boat owners to be cautious as the dredging work for the M. Muli harbor is scheduled to begin tomorrow.

In an announcement regarding the matter, the council stated that since the harbor dredging work will proceed from tomorrow onwards, they request the harbor to be used and vessels to be moored in a way that does not hinder the contractors.

The council stated that while the harbor dredging work is underway, neither the council nor the contractor will take responsibility for any damages to vessels moored in the harbor contrary to the council's instructions.

The Muli harbor development project is a 61.8 million Rufiyaa project. The project work is being carried out by MTCC.

Under this project, it is planned to dredge a harbor basin area of 33,888 cubic meters, construct a 465-meter breakwater, dredge a channel area of 6,254 cubic meters, install an 89-meter revetment, and construct a 479-meter quay wall.

Additionally, the installation of 2,730 square meters of harbor pavement and the fixing of harbor and channel lights are scheduled to be carried out.
