Bids have been opened to procure some items needed to celebrate this year's Fishermen's Day.
An announcement published today by the Dhuvaafaru Council, which opened the bid, stated that they are seeking a party to supply some items needed for the gift 'pack' presented to welcome guests visiting Dhuvaafaru to celebrate Fishermen's Day. The opportunity to submit estimates for this has been opened to the public for interested parties.
According to the Council's announcement, to register for this bid, the bidder registration sheet at the Council office must be filled out from today until 11:00 on Monday, 17 November 2025. The Council also requested that the bid registration form be filled out and submitted to the Council office reception or sent to the office's email address procurement@dhuvaafaru.gov.mv.
The pre-bid meeting for this bid is scheduled for 11:00 on the 17th of this month, while the submission of estimates is scheduled for 11:00 on the 20th of this month. Bids can only be submitted by parties who register before the deadline set for registration. The Council stated that estimates from parties who arrive late to submit their estimates will not be accepted.
December 10th of every year is celebrated as Fishermen's Day. This year's Fishermen's Day will be celebrated in Dhuvaafaru. The Fisheries Ministry and Dhuvaafaru Council are working together to organize the official celebrations and other activities for Fishermen's Day.
