Bids have been opened to find a contractor to develop a neighborhood fish plant in Maradhoo, Addu City.
The Addu City Council opened the opportunity today to submit bids for the development of the neighborhood fish plant on a design, build, and operate basis.
The City Council stated that the acceptance and opening of bids will be held at the Council Office at 10:00 on Wednesday, June 16. The council also stated that bids submitted after the deadline will not be accepted. Bid documents will be available for purchase from the Council Office from 10:00 on Tuesday, May 20, until 14:00 on Tuesday, May 27, and the information sheet and bid form related to this work will be emailed in softcopy format to those who register to participate in the bidding.
A non-refundable registration fee of 300 Maldivian Rufiyaa must be paid to participate in this bid. While MVR 49,000.00 must be submitted as bid security, the council stated that the bid security can be submitted in Maldivian Rufiyaa or an equivalent amount in US Dollars. The bid security period is 120 days from the date of bid opening.
Those who wish to clarify any information regarding the bid can do so via email between 10:00 on Tuesday, May 20, and 14:00 on Wednesday, May 28. The council has also decided to hold an information session regarding the bid at the Council Office at 10:30 on Monday, May 29.
