Bandidhoo Council compiling a registry of marine vessels and land vehicles

Dhaalu Bandidhoo Council has commenced work on compiling a registry of land vehicles and marine vessels.

Bandidhoo Council stated that they are working to compile and update a registry containing information on all land vehicles (such as motorcycles, battery bicycles, buggies, and pickups) and marine vessels (such as dhonis, launches, and dinghies) operated on the island.

Under the efforts to complete this registry, Bandidhoo Council has requested current users of such vehicles and vessels to submit a copy of the vehicle registry, a clear two-sided copy of the owner's ID card, and a contact phone number to the council before 14:00 on 14 July 2025. The council also requested that those with unregistered vehicles submit a clear two-sided copy of the owner's ID card and a contact phone number before the given deadline.
