Bad weather prompts White Alert for a large area

Additionally, winds are expected to gust up to 45 miles per hour during showers. The alert is effective until 01:30 PM.

The Maldives Meteorological Service's weather forecast states that rain is expected across various regions, with heavy rain and thunderstorms likely in some islands. Winds are forecast to blow from the west and northwest at speeds between 13 and 23 miles per hour. The Maldives Meteorological Service states that winds may gust up to approximately 45 miles per hour during showers.

Seas are expected to be rough across all regions today, with wave heights estimated at 4 to 7 feet.
