The Kulhudhuffushi City Council has opened the opportunity for individuals interested in registering and providing fish cutting services at the city's fish market spaces.
According to an announcement published by the council, the opportunity is open for those who wish to register and provide fish cutting services at 8 spaces in the fish market. Interested parties are requested to complete the "Application Form for Providing Fish Cutting Services at Kulhudhuffushi Fish Market" and submit it to the council before 12:00 on Tuesday. The announcement states that the application form will be available at the council office counter during official hours, and the form can also be downloaded from the council's website.
The council stated that if more than 8 parties submit forms for this opportunity, the spaces will be allocated through a draw among the applicants. The council also noted that the opportunity to provide this service is open for a period of two years.
Fish cutting services at the Kulhudhuffushi City Fish Market can only be provided by individuals registered with the council as fish cutting service providers, and those who buy and sell fish commercially. Parties using the fish market to buy and sell fish from fishermen commercially, and those buying fish for salting and using the market for such purposes, can only use the fish market by registering with the council in accordance with the "Guidelines for Fish Cutting Service Providers and Commercial Fish Buyers and Sellers at Kulhudhuffushi Fish Market".
Parties registering as fish cutting service providers are required to pay a registration fee of MVR 55 and a monthly stall fee of MVR 300. Parties buying and selling fish from fishermen commercially are required to pay a registration fee of MVR 55 and a monthly stall fee of MVR 500.
