Mohamed Anas has been appointed as the Chief Executive Officer of the Maldives Industrial Fisheries Company Limited (MIFCO).
In a message shared on social media tonight, the Privatization and Corporatization Board (PCB) stated that Mohamed Anas has been appointed as the Managing Director of the Board of Directors and Chief Executive Officer of MIFCO, effective today.
Until his appointment as MIFCO's CEO, Anas served as the President of the PCB. President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu appointed Anas to that position in March of last year. He resigned from the post today.
Anas was appointed to the position of MIFCO CEO following the resignation of the former CEO, Brigadier General (Retired) Farhath Shaheer. Farhath resigned from the post on the 12th of this month.
Mohamed Anas holds a Master of Business Administration from the Maldives National University. His previous positions include Deputy Minister of Finance and Planning, Audit Manager at the Housing Development Corporation, and Associate Professor at the Maldives Business School.
