Alert: Bad weather across the entire Maldives!

The National Meteorological Centre has forecast bad weather across the entire Maldives today.

Forecasting the weather until 10:00 am tomorrow, the centre stated that rain is expected across various parts of the country, with heavy showers and thunderstorms likely in some islands. Furthermore, winds are expected to blow from the west and northwest at speeds between 10 to 20 miles per hour, with gusts up to approximately 45 miles per hour during showers.

Seas are expected to be moderately rough and rough during showers, with wave heights estimated to be between 4 to 7 feet.

A White Alert has already been issued for the entire Maldives due to the bad weather. The alert, issued from 14:00 this afternoon to 08:00 tonight, states that heavy rain, strong winds of 45 miles per hour during showers, and rough seas are expected. The Met Office has urged everyone to be cautious of the weather.
