The lost pole-and-line FAD in S. Gan has been replaced.
This FAD, specialized for pole-and-line fishing, was initially deployed in Gan in October 2024. It had been missing for a long time after breaking off.
Addu City Gan FAD Replaced
During the Fisheries Ministry's ongoing trip to the southern atolls, the Gan pole-and-line FAD was deployed today in the same area it was previously located, 13 miles southwest of Gan.
The pole-and-line FAD number is R09D03-01.
