The island council has once again publicly announced and ordered the removal of illegally built warehouses at the ADh. Dhangethi boat hauling area.

The announcement published by the Dhangethi Council regarding this matter stated that the public was informed via an announcement issued on 12 August 2024 to remove sheds and roofed structures built and used in violation of the "Guidelines on the Hauling and Launching of Vessels in ADh. Dhangethi". However, as the enclosed warehouse-like structures with roofs were not removed by the time the deadline expired, the council stated that it will remove such structures and take action against the respective parties in accordance with Article 10 of the guidelines on hauling and launching vessels.

The council has now given an additional deadline to remove the warehouses. Accordingly, they have been instructed to remove such warehouses and clear the area by the end of Monday, 25 November 2024, and the council stated that it will proceed with the removal of any remaining structures without further notice once this deadline expires. Furthermore, the council stated that it will not bear any responsibility for any damage caused to property during the removal of these structures.
