Malé City Council Re-opens Bidding to Lease Shop at Malé Fish Market

The Malé City Council has re-opened the opportunity to lease Shop No. 5, located on the first floor of the Malel Romas Market (Malé Fish Market) building, after an initial announcement failed to draw sufficient interest.

According to the council's announcement published on October 6, 2026, the previous notice (IUL)425-A2/1/2026/108 has been canceled, and a fresh bidding process has been initiated for interested parties.

Interested parties are required to attend an information session before submitting bid proposals:

• Information Session: October 14, 2026, at 13:00 at the Malé City Council Hall / Meeting Room (Boduthakurufaanu Magu).

• Bid Submission: October 21, 2026, at 13:00 at the Malé City Council Hall / Meeting Room (Boduthakurufaanu Magu).

The council highlighted that information will only be shared with representatives who attend the scheduled information session. Furthermore, bids submitted after the deadline or by parties that failed to attend the information session will not be accepted.

Bidding is open to registered Maldivian companies, partnerships, local investments, and individuals with valid business permits.
