The Kulhudhuffushi City Council, in collaboration with the Ministry of Fisheries, Agriculture and Ocean Resources, has officially opened applications for a specialized technical training program on diamondback squid fishing.
According to the Kulhudhuffushi City Council, the initiative aims to fully utilize the Maldives’ ocean resources by developing diamondback squid fisheries in deep offshore waters. The program is designed to create new income-generating opportunities for interested participants, advance the Maldivian fishing industry, and bolster household financial stability and economic resilience.
