The Baa Atoll Hithaadhoo Council has reopened the opportunity to apply for examiner positions to conduct practical tests for driving motorized marine vessels issued by the council's office.
The council stated that the opportunity was reopened because no parties had applied in response to the previous announcement made for these positions. The council has now officially re-announced the recruitment for 02 examiners.
Requirements for Examiners:
Possession of a captain's / Coastal navigation certificate (Niyamikamuge sanadhu).
Holding a motorized marine vessel driving license with categories A, A1, B, C, and D, which has been issued for at least 5 years.
Having 1 year of experience in operating marine vessels.
Having no proven violations of marine vessel operating regulations or criminal convictions within the past 5 years.
Being under 55 years of age and in good health.
Not being a current employee of the Hithaadhoo Council Secretariat.
The council stated that successful candidates will receive an allowance of 25 Rufiyaa per vessel examined. Additionally, preference will be given to applicants holding multiple license categories when selecting examiners.
Interested individuals are requested to submit their application forms along with their curriculum vitae (CV) to the Hithaadhoo Council Secretariat before 13:00 hours on Thursday, October 1, 2026.
