The Secretariat of the North Maalhosmadulu Fainu Council has announced a third invitation to tender for a contractor to repair the island’s current fish filleting station (mas kandaa ashi) using their own materials.
According to the council's official announcement, the opportunity is being re-opened after no bids were submitted under the previous tender. The council noted that bidding is restricted exclusively to businesses registered under the Business Registration Act with the Ministry of Economic Development.
The council’s announcement outlined the key schedule for the procurement process:
Bid Registration Deadline: Until 14:00 hrs on 17 September 2026
Bid Submission Deadline: Until 11:00 hrs on 23 September 2026
Bid Opening: 11:05 hrs on 23 September 2026, at the Fainu Council meeting hall
The Fainu Council stated that interested parties must complete the bid registration form and submit it in person or email it to procurement@fainu.gov.mv to register.
All proposals must be submitted in sealed envelopes in the presence of bidders, with the council advising interested applicants to direct further queries to 4000311 or the council's official procurement email.
