Feeali Harbor: Special Mooring Zone Allocated for Small Vessels and Dinghies

The Secretariat of the Nilandhe Atholhu Uthuruburi Feeali Council has designated a new mooring area at the island’s T-jetty for dinghies and small boats measuring under 30 feet.

According to the council, the decision was finalized during the 11th general meeting of its fifth term after the existing dinghy mooring zone in the harbor reached full capacity.

The newly designated area is located on the northwest side of the T-jetty, adjacent to the section utilized for hauling boats ashore.

Under the new arrangement, operators of small vessels and dinghies must adhere to established mooring guidelines and ensure their craft do not obstruct cargo vessels approaching the nearby docking area.

The council emphasized that mooring any vessel other than dinghies and boats under 30 feet in this specific zone is strictly prohibited.

The directive was published on the Government Gazette on August 16 under an announcement signed by Feeali Council President Ahmed Ilham.
