Lhohi Council Seeking Contractor to Construct Fish Cutting Platform and Water Facility at Island Harbor

The Secretariat of the South Miladhunmadulu (N. Atoll) Lhohi Council has opened invitations for sealed quotations to establish a water tap system and construct a dedicated fish cutting platform at the Lhohi harbor.

According to the official announcement published in the Government Gazette, the council is seeking interested local parties to execute the civil work in accordance with the technical information and guidelines provided by the council authority.

Key Project Details and Schedule:

• Information Session: An information-clearing session for interested contractors is being conducted today, August 13, 2026, at 13:00 at the Lhohi Council Secretariat.

• Quotation Submission: Sealed quotations will be accepted and opened on August 16, 2026, at 10:30 AM at the Lhohi Council Secretariat.

The council specified that all bids must be submitted in sealed envelopes. The exterior of the envelope must clearly state the bidder’s name, the announcement/project reference number, and the specific work for which the quotation is being submitted.

This infrastructure project aims to improve harbor utility services for local fishermen and vessel operators by providing dedicated facilities for fish handling and clean water access.
